Random Oscar related thoughts/observations:
Leonardo DiCaprio is by far the most charming of the nominees.
Ryan Gosling is officially adorable.
Helen Mirren wins my best dressed; she looked awesome.
I never thought I'd say it, but Ryan Seacrest's "I didn't really like it" in reagrd to Anne Hathaway's dress was actually kinda cute--in that reminds me of my younger cousin sort of way.
I thought Ellen did a great job. She kept me amused and entertained which is all I ever ask of an Oscar host.
Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig presented together. Why this matters? It's frickin' Mrs. Coulter and Lord Asriel! And I actually thought they looked pretty good together. Y'know, when I saw that they were both there during the red carpet segment, I started freaking out about how I wanted them to present together so I could see them together...and so I was happy.
The Will Ferrel, Jack Black, John C. Reily song was good stuff.

The guy who won for Happy Feet looked like a peguin--really! He did! Exactly like a peguin!
Why is Jack Nicholson's head shaved?
AND MARTIN SCORCESE WON!!!!!! I was prepared to throw a fit if he didn't. When they had George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, and Steven Spielberg present the award... I so definately would have cried had Marty not won. B/c, y'know, he's one of them! And that would have sucked had he not gotten it...
