Cliff hanger of DOOM!

Oh, Sasuke when will you learn? Whenever you talk smack, you end up getting owned... I'm not sure what I think the outcome of Sasuke v. Orochi is. Nor am I certain which I would prefer. Either way, inspite of what the little side/end of chapter text thing, says, I don't think either of them could possibly be gone for good. Or, well, I guess if Sasuke won, Orochimaru could be gone, but there's no way Sasuke is gone if Orochimaru won. After all, let's face it, Naruto (the manga) is going to have a happy ending. It's just the sort of manga it is. For Naruto (the character) there is no happy ending unless he saves Sasuke, and they become bff again. It's his number one goal, surpassing any hokage aspirations. To that end, Sasuke is going to be saved. (Unless Kishi does decide to go the unhappy ending route and turn Naruto in a bitter, jaded, perpetually depressed old failure of a man.) To that end, it might make more sense for Orochi to have at least mostly won because then Naruto and Sakura can bust out some plot twist and actually save Sasuke. Because, before, they were more trying to save him from himself, or something... I never really understood the plan. Beat Sasuke up, drag him back to Konoha aaaand...then what? But if Orochi's got 'im, the whole rescue thing might make more sense/give Sasuke a reason to quit being a dumbass and come home/whatever. (And we were just reminded with Sasuke's recent actions that he's still a good guy at heart, so...)
I've no clue where the plot will go if Sasuke did win straight up. Or even if he just partially won control. I guess he'll go after Itachi...and I have no clue what could possibly come next. I guess there could be some kind of Sasuke thinks everything's fine and Orochi suddenly takes over. I could see Orochi somehow pretending to be Sasuke to achieve some sneaky end. Really, Orochi looking like Sasuke could cause all sorts of problems/scenerios.
Also, I have the incredibly cheesy scenerio (am I mispelling that word? It looks wrong. And I'm too lazy to deal with spell check... You have to scroll and all that stuff...) wherein Sasuke is somehow able to hold onto himself via memories/thoughts of Naruto and Sakura, etc. Yeah, yeah. I know. (But, I'm the same person who also got a little misty @ Naruto's line about how the wind can keep a flame from dying. Sap! I am a sap!)
All of that said, I won't be surprised if we don't actually get to find out who's in control of Sasuke's body next chapter. I won't mind so long as the plot keeps moving and/or we finally get to see some Team 8 action. (Seriously, where are they? Personally, I'm holding onto the belief they've been out on some mission, which would explain why they weren't around to comfort Kurenai at Asuma's funeral. But...I hope we get to see them soon. **is a closet Naruto/Hinata fan; shh! don't tell!**) Oh, and will we finally get to see what's up with Kabuto?
Meanwhile, I have no clue what's going on in Bleach or how I feel about it. It isn't Kaien, it is Kaein, it isn't Kaien, it's two heads in a jar that may or may not somehow be related to Kaien or the hollow that fused with him. I think I'd prefer it to have some relation to the hollow. Let Kaien himself rest in peace--or be reincarnated as Ichigo. Whatever floats your boat. (I've always been rather indifferent to that theory, but I was sad to see it--possibly--go.) Although, I have always wanted to learn more about Kaein's wife... I figure there's a reason we didn't get to see her face... (Maybe.) So maybe if it is Kaien/related to him, we'll get to find out something about her. At any rate, you got to hand it to Aizen. He's made one freaky dude.
That said, I'd like to see Renji win this one. Or, at the very least, bust out some new technique and do some serious damage. Zaero....whatever's line about Renji's single-minded attacks made me think we might get to see him develope during the ensuing fight. Here's hoping.
Also, Chad, hang in there. And Ichigo and Ishida, God speed. (Not sure who I hope Noitora is going after. Maybe Ishida; I might like that better than Ichigo...and then it will give Ishida an Espada rival...)
