Is it bad that I enjoyed this episode more than the last? Like A LOT more? Like I really kind of loved this episode and the last one not so much? It succeeded at providing a wider glimpse of the Avatar world where Tales failed. (Ironically, I'd been looking forward to ToBS, thinking it would do just that, and had little interest in the adventures of Appa...)
And what is up with Nick and the lack of previews! I want previews, dammit!
First, great big awwwww for the little bison and little Aang. And that little kid who helped Appa.
Ozai's Angels vs. Kyoshi Warriors was good in principle. Ty Lee's pretty comment was just random and lame and Mei's thing about their colorfulness was just...meh... Still, Azula vs. Suki was good. But, gah! Suki! We'd better find out what happens to her. I'll assume she's living...and very, very hurt. Edit: I wonder if it's possible for the Kyoshi warriors to be taken prisoner and for the Gaang to meet them at some later date, perhaps in the Fire Nation itself...
Ten bucks says that Water Tribe guy is the same guy that sired Sokka and Katara. (Hakoda?) Guess that means we'll be seeing him soon...
Those Dai Lee bastards! I knew it!
Iroh...is a wise man... He has mastered the art of discretion. (Something tells me he won't be pleased when Zuko unveils his latest scheme to capture the Avatar...)
I wonder if Appa's new fear of fire will play a role in relation to Zuko and/or Aang learning fire bending and/or venturing into the freaking Fire Nation.
The Guru! <3 (And isn't the 19th ep. called "The Guru"?) Y'know, some how his little speech to Appa sounded like something that could have been said to or about Zuko. ...And I wonder *if* Zuko is going to wind up joining the gaang, if the Guru will have something to do with it. Anyway, he's all kinds of awesome. I love 'im already! (Ooo~ Or maybe b/c they are similar Zuko and Appa will be able to bond! Oh that is just all kinds of cuteness, that idea is! All kinds of cuteness... And I'd kill to hear Zuzu say "Yip, yip!")
Anyway, onward ho to the next episode, for which I am very excited. (And in need of a PREVIEW!!!!!111eleven)
And, while I'm on Avatar, some random things that have crossed my mind:
Katara has bad luck when it comes to trees. She was tied to one. (Ep. 09) She's been knocked out by one. (Ep. 19) She's been pinned to one. (Ep. 28) And there might be more. ...She needs to stay away from wooded areas...
Zuko and Katara both suck at coming up with names for their partners in alias-ing. (Mushi? Dung/Dum/whatever name she gave to Toph?)
...And, yes, this was very random...
